Quick and delicious party appetizers
Are you having a party for friends or office colleagues or family soon? Here are some Food Recipes very easy, quick and delicious appetizers to serve to your guests at a party -
Bruschetta: Chop some tomatoes, basil and get some feta cheese. Cut a loaf of bread into small bite size pieces and drizzle some olive oil on top of them. Roast them lightly for a few seconds. Top them with the chopped tomatoes and basil and sprinkle with cheese. You can also add chopped garlic, sauteed mushrooms or onions and different herbs on it.
Pita bread and hummus: Ready some dough with maida, olive oil and a pinch of salt for your pita breads. You can even go for the ready-made flavoured flatbreads available in the market. Soak some chickpeas in warm water and mash them gently. Add some chopped garlic, chili powder, olive oil and salt to taste.
Mozzarella balls: Get some mozzarella cheese and add some chopped basil and chili flakes (you can even add some salt if you want). Roll them into tiny balls and enjoy! Crackers with salsa: Whip up a quick salsa by mixing chopped cucumber, tomatoes and feta cheese and squeeze in some lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Serve with crackers to your guests.
Raspberry and Nutella spread: Select your choice of bread or flatbread and serve it with a raspberry and nutella spread for those who have a sweet tooth. Your party will surely be a hit then.
Mozzarella skewers with cherry tomatoes: If you think mozzarella balls might not work, put them on a skewer with cherry tomatoes, pour a little olive oil and sprinkle some herbs on top. Lightly roast them or grill them to get that perfect brown color on top.
Smoked/grilled cottage cheese: You can cut and marinate some cubes of cottage cheese to add a spicy and tangy punch to them, and put them on the coal. Served with mint chutney, these will surely get over in a jiffy.
